Subject: It’s finally happened!

Hey guys! Well, it’s finally happened! Our new baby is finally here! Sadie went into labor late last night while taking out the trash. (And don’t get mad at me for letting my pregnant wife take out the trash…you know how stubborn Sadie can be!) Of course we all went running out of the house when we heard her screaming. (But don’t worry Nancy, it’s not that bad.)

And after a little while, our new baby was finally born! Carleton was there to witness the whole thing, but he forgot all of his worries when he saw the new baby.

We all stood there in the lawn just shouting for joy over the safe and quick delivery of Carver Montgomery.

That’s right, another boy! Can you believe it?! It’s amazing how many boys we’re all having! So now I have three sons! I am so blessed. It looks like the Montgomery name will have no problem living on into the 4th generation! Anyways, Carver has his mother’s blond hair and green eyes, but he has my dark skin tone just like his older brothers. It seems like he’s going to look a lot like his big brother Carleton.

So we are all ecstatic to have a baby in the house again. Sadie wants a daughter more than anything, so we’re getting to work on that already! Hope all is well with you and your families. Please let us know of the births of your kids when they happen! We can’t wait!

My day started out very exciting, but then it took a turn for the worse. For the past couple of days, I’ve been feeling really sick and tired. I thought I just had a really bad case of the flu that seems to be going around since Beau’s wedding. But finally this morning I found out what it truly is. I’m pregnant again! I really thought Clark was to be my last child, but I feel so blessed (and surprised) to be given another baby. I cannot wait to hold him/her in my arms. I miss having a baby in the house, and pretty soon it will be the only baby in the house because Clark’s birthday is tomorrow. My kids are growing up so fast, and if it weren’t for the fact that I’m the only with a job and we need my income, I’d retire and spend all of my time with my kids. But I’m happy enough to be on maternity leave right now, and I’m not looking forward to going back to work (well maybe a little). I invited my parents over right away when I found out that I was pregnant.

They are super excited that I’m having another child. You know it’s Daddy’s dream to have 20 grandchildren. And with my new baby, Beau’s coming baby, and Bryce’s that will make 10 grandchildren…so he’s half way there! So we were celebrating the good news. Later that night after Mom and Daddy left, Oliver came home with Chase after having a father/son outing, and I surprised them both when they came in. Chase ran right to me and gave me the biggest hug of my life. He is so excited to have another little brother or sister. But Oliver…he just went right to the couch without a word, and stared off into space pretending to watch TV.

At first I thought he was just speechless at the wonderful news, so I sent Chase on up to play with Clark. I sat down next to him and asked him if he was excited about his new child. And he didn’t answer me. My heart sank. What’s wrong with him? Why wouldn’t he be excited about this? So I asked him. And what did he say? Nothing. He just got up and walked away. I’m completely confused. What did I do? Maybe he doesn’t want another child. But why? Of course my mind was racing…coming up with all these horrible thoughts. Is he cheating on me? Does he want a divorce? But the more I think about it, the more I realize that I’m overreacting. He’s never wanted a big family, and this was an unexpected surprise for us both. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love me…and that he won’t love his child. Now if only my heart believed that.

Let me give you a pictorial tour of our new abode! When you first come in the front door, you enter into our entryway. We have an amazingly comfortable chair with our bookcase there, which makes a nice little spot to relax after a busy day.

Through the entry way you find yourself in the living room and open dining room. We were able to buy a brand new loveseat and television which made me very happy of course! The archway there in the corner leads to a really small room that we have left unfurnished at the moment.

When you turn facing away from the TV, you walk through an archway and find yourself in a cute and comfy kitchen. Nancy does most of our cooking, and I am very proud to say that she is almost as good a cook as you are Mom!

I can’t believe I’m actually writing in a diary. No, I think I’ll call it a journal instead. *Mental Note: Change “Dear Diary” to “Journal Entry #1″* Yes, much better. Anyway, I don’t know how to begin. I’ve been keeping a horrible secret from my family…mainly my wife. You see, I’m the kind of guy that has always run from commitment. I never thought I’d be happy with a serious girlfriend, much less a wife and two kids. And it seems I was right.

Don’t get me wrong. Bethany is a great person, a supportive wife, and an amazing mother to our children. But I’m just not happy being so tied down. I mean, I wake up and make breakfast for her and the kids. She gets up and gets ready for work while I wake the boys up and help Chase get ready for school. Clark is always a handful since he’s a toddler and I am very much looking forward to his upcoming birthday so he’ll go off to school with Chase. Then there’s a rushed breakfast and Bethany rushes out the door to her work. Then I pack Chase’s lunch and see him run out the door to the school bus. Then starts the busy part of my day. Cleaning and taking care of Chase. I am thankful to Bethany for letting me be the stay at home parent, as I have never been passionate about any career. But I’m not exactly a family man either.

I miss the good ol’ days when Bethany and I could go out whenever we wanted to. Go dancing or to dinner, or to a party. Now there’s none of that. The most exciting thing we do now is attend her family get-togethers, mainly weddings and birthday parties. I know I should be thankful for such a loving family…but there’s just something missing. But then I met Emery.

I was taking the trash out one day while Clark was taking his nap, and saw this beautiful woman walking along the sidewalk. She gave me a big smile, and I couldn’t help but say hello to her. We struck up a lively conversation, and things just progressed from there. Suddenly I was feeling things that I haven’t felt in a really long time. Sure, I love Bethany…but there’s just no romance in it anymore. But Emery, she was like a breath of fresh air. I was immediately smitten with her, and the feelings seemed to be mutual.

And this is the hard part to admit. I invited her inside and one thing led to another. One moment we were laughing at each other’s jokes, then we were tickling each other, and then…well let’s just say it ended up in the bedroom. And the worst part was, I didn’t feel any regrets or guilt at the time. I was just so caught up in the moment, and for once I felt like I was whole. I felt like a young man again, and I knew what I had been missing all these years. That rush of romance. The first kiss with someone new, holding that person that you barely know after a night of intimacy, the thrill of uncharted waters.

I’m not in love with Emery, and I know there could never be a future with her. If I’m not happy with such a wonderful woman like Bethany, there’s no doubt in my mind that things would be even worse with a woman like Emery. But it doesn’t change the fact that I cheated on my wife. And it made me happy to do it. And truth be told, I’m craving for that thrill again. I’m just not the kind of guy that should settle down. The only problem now is…how do I tell that to my family?

Subject: Hello from the new Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery!

Hey everyone! Beau and Nancy here, just wanting to say that we’re back from our honeymoon safe and sound. We had an absolutely amazing time on our cruise. I got our wedding pictures back, so read on and take a look! You’re just gonna die when you see how beautiful they turned out. Here’s a picture of the very beginning of the ceremony.

I still can’t get over how gorgeous Nancy looked in that dress, with her hair and makeup all done up. She’s so beautiful! I was so nervous as she walked down the aisle toward me. And my hands were trembling as I slipped the ring on her finger. Can you blame me?

And here’s the big moment! “Now pronouncing Mr. and Mrs. Beau Montgomery”!!!

The reception was just as wonderful as the ceremony. I certainly hope you all enjoyed yourselves! I think it’s become a tradition for Pops to make everyone cry during his champagne speech. Poor Mom…you’d think after marrying off 3 kids already you’d be used to the mooshy toasts of Dad’s.

My favorite part of the whole night was the cutting of the cake. I was really worried that Nancy would be upset with me for shoving the cake in her face. But she took it like a champ and had fun smearing cake all in my face too. We’re such a wierd couple!

Subject: Newest Montgomerys have arrived!

Hey everyone! Sorry for the mass email but I wanted to let you all know about our super exciting news as quickly as possible! Felicia finally went into labor! We were watching TV early one night while Cameron was playing before bed time, and the pains started coming!

Before we knew it, Felicia gave birth to a beautiful baby GIRL!!! Finally Mom and Dad, you have a granddaughter!

She handed our new daughter to me, but then I knew something was wrong. Felicia grabbed her stomach again as more pain swept through her body.

And in an instant, she gave birth to a second child! Twins!! This time a boy!

So, meet the new twin additions to the family. Here’s little Cammie Montgomery, the first born twin. She’s the spitting image of Felicia with her blond hair and gray eyes.

And here’s little Cory Montgomery, the younger twin. He also has his mother’s blond hair, but he’s inherited his Grandma Andrea’s green eyes! Isn’t that amazing! It seems the green eyes skipped a generation, but have made an appearance in the 3rd generation! Thanks Mom!

Both babies have my tan skin tone rather than their mother’s light tone. They are sure to be as beautiful as their big brother Cameron. He’s taking well to the babies which is a blessing. Our only problem now is room. Our little trailer is very cramped with two adults, a toddler, and two babies. Luckily, we’ve been setting money aside so we’ll be able to expand on to it pretty soon. Anyways, see you all soon at Beau’s wedding!

Hello! It’s Uncle Bayard here! I hope this letter finds you all well. I haven’t seen you guys in awhile so I wanted to send you some news from us here at Montgomery Estates. I know you will be happy to hear that Sadie finally got a position as the newest Resident at Hollywood Memorial Hospital! She is really enjoying her time there, and can’t stop talking about how much she is learning. She works alot of hours, but the pay is better and the experience she’s getting is worth even more.

With all the new health information she’s getting at the hospital, Sadie is determined to get this family into shape! Well, mainly Daddy-O. Mom as you know is in the best physical shape out of all of us, what with being a Hall of Famer and all. I’m not too bad myself, but Sadie is hell bent on getting Daddy-O to lose that belly! And after having two kids, Sadie feels that she needs to lose some of her “baby fat” as well. So she has Dad on a strict diet and exercise plan. It’s hilarious.

As for the boys, they’re doing great. Carleton really helps out with his little brother Colin. He enjoys being a big brother and is always happy to play with him. Colin enjoys it too. You can always hear his little screams of joy whenever his big brother is in the room.

And Carleton is doing well in school. He’s brought his grades up from a C to a B+ ever since Mom has been tutoring him with his homework. He’s continuing to work hard and I just know he’ll have straight A’s really soon. I’m so proud of how hard he’s willing to work at things that don’t come easy to him.

Colin is getting bigger every day! Sadie has been working really hard with him to teach him how to walk and talk. Potty training is going a bit slower, but he’s starting to get the hang of it.

Oh, and one more thing…we’re expecting another baby! That’s right, Sadie is pregnant again! She’s not due until some time after Beau’s wedding, but it shouldn’t be too long after it! We’re all very excited here at Montgomery Estates. We’re all hoping for a girl, but you know we’d be just as happy to welcome our 3rd son. And Bryce and Felicia should be expecting their baby anytime now, right? I can’t wait to meet my newest niece or nephew! Hope all is well with you guys!

Hey Mom, Bryce here. We really missed you at Cameron’s birthday party. Can you believe he’s a toddler already? Where does the time go? We had a great time at the party, it’s a shame you had to work. But I am so thankful that you were at least able to send the traditional home baked birthday cake with Dad to the party! No Montgomery birthday is complete without that! Here’s a picture of me helping little Cameron blow out his candles while all of his aunts and uncles (and grandpa) cheer him on!

And here he is; his first official picture as a toddler! Isn’t he so handsome? He looks just like Felicia! Blond hair and gray eyes. He is simply adorable.

The first thing he did as a toddler, was beg Grandpa for attention! He really fell in love with Dad.

Here’s the picture I told you about that you really wanted. A picture of the three generations of Montgomerys. I think I’m going to frame it.

Cameron also really seemed to like his Uncle Oliver. I guess Oliver is just really great with kids. I know Bayard’s kids absolutely love him, as do his and Bethany’s own kids of course.

Hey there you two! How are things going with your growing family? Isn’t it amazing how fast kids grow up? It used to seem like forever back when we were kids. But enough reminiscing! I wanted to send you the pictures from Carleton and Colin’s birthday party! We were sad that you couldn’t be there, but we understand how it is with a new baby and trying to move up the ol’ career ladder! Before the party, Mom and Sadie cooked us a huge turkey dinner in honor of the boys. It was nice having a little quiet time before the real fun began!

Once everyone arrived, Dad brought Carleton to the traditional birthday cake that Mom always bakes for all of us. Carleton had so much fun blowing out the candles! He especially liked how everyone cheered for him.

We wanted to give Carleton a little time to be in the spotlight, so Colin got to spend a little time in his playpen. That really was a great idea of Bethany’s. The boys have loved that playpen!

Hope all is going well with you both, but I’ll just get right to my reasons for this email. Felicia finally went into labor yesterday! Poor girl was home all alone because I had already left for work. From what she says, childbirth wasn’t too bad…but our neighbors (who claim to have heard a bunch of screaming) beg to differ!

After only a few hours of pain, our son was born. That’s right, Dad! Another boy! You almost have enough grandsons for a full football team now! Anyways, he’s the most handsome boy in the whole world. He’s got his mother’s blond hair and gray eyes, but he’s sort of tan like me! Watch out ladies, here comes Cameron Josiah Montgomery!

When I finally got home from work and hopped out of my carpool (which is still a piece of junk), Felicia was standing there in the yard holding my son. I was in shock! I didn’t even know she had gone into labor! And there she was with this little guy in her arms.

Obviously, I rushed over to her and bent down to see my new little man. He seemed to like me right away, which made me one proud papa. There’s no joy in the world like the joy you feel when you see your first born child.
